Although loads of the graffiti was along the lines of 'I, Julius Maximus Preposterous came to see this thing and was Amazed!' I got to read a bit of Aristophanes (ancient Greek comedic playwright) in high school - all knob and plop jokes, as Ben Elton would say. Every bit of it translated to modern day.
